Human Needs in the Environmental Context. Šternbersko Micro Region
Original language description
The monograph collectively describes the ways in which the environment influences cultural and social human needs on a sample of the population of Šternbersko. The research aim based on spatial multilevel processing was rested on the assessment of landscape's influence on the six human needs, i. e., the need for housing and living in one's own home; the need for health and healthcare; the need for education and access to information; the need for employment; the need for social interaction and culturalactivities; and the need for rest and relaxation. The results of this research, based on the integration of different methods (anthropology, sociology, geo-demography, and cartography), can serve as both a background study for future research in these fields or for the decision-making processes in local politics and in public administration or self-government.
