    The scales of perceived competence for children with cerebral palsy: Construction of a Czech version of Pictorial Scale

    This paper informs about construction of a Czech version of Pictorial Scale, which is a part of international research concerning the construction of scales to measure perceived competence in children with cerebral palsy (CP). The main purpose of this part of the research is to construct a Czech version of The Pictorial Scale of Perceived Competence and Social Acceptance for young Children with CP and investigate its reliability and validity. The Czech version of The Scale is a product of two years research project and was administrated to a Czech sample. 85 children with cerebral palsy, selected from rehabilitation, medical and educational institutions in the Czech Republic were tested twice. Based on the test-retest reliability and Cronbach's Alpha,the Czech translation and application of The Scale could be considered as a reliable instrument.
