From philosophy of sport to philosophical kinanthropology
Original language description
Sport philosophy is considered a relatively young theory field of sport science and applied sub-discipline of philosophy. To a certain extent it is astonishing that the word sport - for many people a term with also trivial and partly bad associations - is combined with philosophy, standing for the "mother" of all academic disciplines. In this analysis it is tried to develop an alternative terminology. This is realized by discussing the status quo of terms used for the academic discipline of sport science. Then possible names for the theory field of sport philosophy are analyzed. Based on the proposal to name sport science in a better way kinanthropology (the science of the moving human being) it is proposed to use "philosophical kinanthropology" instead of sport philosophy.
