Monitoring of the trajectory of a moving human body's segment by means of the diagnostic system DTP-2 [CD]
Original language description
The diagnostic system DTP-2 enables us to measure the position of a point in space by a position sensor that consists of an articulated pantographic mechanism with two arms and three incremental encoders that measure the position of the arms in space. Anelectronic evaluation unit consisting of microprocessors preprocesses electrical outputs from the incremental encoders and transmits the position data of arms into a PC via a serial interface RS 232 (COM). A special kind of software decodes data from the electronic evaluation unit and calculates the position of a point in three-dimensional Cartesian coordinates. The position sensor can measure the position of point in a static mode or in a dynamic mode. The static mode is exploited for measurement of the position of points marked on a probandin the rest position. The dynamic mode is exploited for monitoring of the trajectory of a moving human body's segment, in which a selected point on the skin of the segment is scanned. The software
