The somatic standpoint of is the present conception of the sport occupations important task of the selection of turns. On basis of the knowledge of the morphofenotyp of the successful sportsmen and with improvement the biological growth patterns and theevolution it is change to predicate possible sports performance of young sportsmen. The research study parties concerned in 53 young volleyball players. They were approximatly 12,7 years old. Somatometric parameters were compared to Czech population normative (Bláha et al., 1986). To determine the body composition Heath-Carter (1967) method was used and the individual somatotypes were divided according the dominance of the individual components and according to motoric performance (Chytráčková, 1989; Štěpnička, 1976). The comparison of the average value of mezomorphy with the reference values signalises less accentuated muscular fraction in our female volleyball players.
