Authors of the contribution compare a somatic development and motor performance in a set of 562 girls in the age of 7 to 15 years with reference data about the performance of Czechoslovak youth of 1966 and results of pupils in the Olomouc Region from 1968. We have found that for the past 36 years there was a positive secular trend in the body height and weight in today?s girls. In the area of the development of speed and dynamic-explosive strength abilities they confirmed stagnation of the motor performance, indicating rather a negative secular trend. In conclusion authors state that there is an asymmetry in the somatic and motor performance in today?s girls of the younger and older school age. Autoři provedli srovnání somatického a motorického vývoje u 562 dívek ve věku 7-15 let s referenčními daty československé mládeže získanými v roce 1966 a daty z olomouckého regionu z roku 1968. Byl nalezen pozitivní sekulární trend ve vývoji tělesné výšky a hmotnosti. V oblasti rychlosti a dynamické explozivní síly byla definována stagnace motorické výkonnosti, resp. indikace negativního sekulárního trendu.U dívek mladšího a staršího školního věku byla nalezena asymetrie v somatickém vývoji i vývoji motorické výkonnosti. Stagnace a regrese motorické výkonnosti je pravděpodobně příčinou změn rychlé transformace dnešní společnosti, kde nedostatek pohybové aktivity u dnešních dětí a mládeže je typickou charakteristikou.
