During the entire period of measurements we were aware of the fact that the ability to resist a higher physical strain is very demanding for the condition and function of the support-locomotive system and is a prerequisite for successfully coping with complex locomotive structure and sports training demands. We have investigated the current condition of first-rate high jumpers´ (n=47) locomotive systems using a questionnaire method and the information gathered in controlled interviews with contestants,coaches and sports doctors. Based on the occurrence of jumpers´ locomotive system injuries we have divided the obtained data into seven parts (foot, tibia, knee, thigh, pelvis, trunk and other) and evaluated them statistically.

Předpokladem úspěšného zvládnutí složité pohybové struktury skoku do výšky je schopnost odolávat vysoké fyzické zátěži, která klade mj. velké nároky na stav a funkci podpůrně pohybového aparátu. Odraz v atletických disciplinách dnes směřuje k explozivnímu provedení-krátký a silný kontakt s podložkou (tc = 0,15?0,22 s) redukuje ohýbání kolena odrazové nohy. Kolenní kloub je při této technice namáhán méně, ale poškození ostatních zúčastněných článků pohybového systému se násobí (Langer, 2003).
