Anaerobic performance: Assessment and training
Original language description
Muscle strength and anaerobic capacity are important determinants for performance in many sports. To stimulate them effectively the training process should be, above all, systematic, specific and respecting the needs of the athlete. The aim of this scientific publication is to present information about the current methodological approaches to the diagnostics and stimulation of muscle power, anaerobic performance and capacity in sport practice. This book includes the original results of verifying validity, reliability, sensitivity and practical usability of methods for evaluating power and anaerobic capacity, which fulfill the requirement of sports-specific diagnostics. Assessment of injury risk factors in athletes by means of isokinetic dynamometry onthe example of soccer, individualisation of strength and power training on the example of ski jump and volleyball are essential part of this publication. Contemporary knowledge in the above mentioned courses of study and current knowledge
