Original language description
This chapter deals with the use of crisis communication and crisis negotiation at the scene of an emergency by members of the integrated rescue system. An integral part is the issue of providing first psychological assistance to victims of emergencies and crisis situations at the scene. There are recommendations for the practical use of elements of crisis communication and crisis intervention in interaction with an aggressive individual and an individual demonstrating the intention of suicide to alleviate mental tension and de-escalate the overall situation. The process of calming the aggressor is also described in detail. Attention is also paid to the use of the plan of typical activities of the parts of the integrated rescue system in the joint intervention in the case of demonstrating the intention of suicide and in the provision of psychosocial assistance.
