The significance and evaluation of heart rate variability in physical exercise and training by using the telemetric VariaPulse TF System
Original language description
The authors present a review of the methods of heart rate variability evaluation with regard to its application in sport medicine and monitoring in sports practice. Based on the accumulated knowledge, hardware and software design of a telemetric computer-aided system is presented, utilizing "short-term" spectral analysis of heart rate variability (SAHRV) for analyzing the functions of autonomic nervous system (ANS) in dependence on defined physical load. Later, SAHRV parameters are specified quantifyingspectral power in frequency bands of VLF, LF and HF and the conditions of standardization which are necessary for the objective evaluation of ANS functions with the help of the described method. Finally, the article illustrates a practical demonstrationusing the SAHRV method in an effective regulation of the sports training process.
