Digital Transofmation of European Symphony Orchestras
Original language description
Symphony orchestras are on the edge of digital transformation in many management areas, especially in distribution or communication. Innovations that use digital technologies must permeate the entire organization and bring orchestras into the digital economy, where they will create a new form of revenue from new subscription models in the distribution of artistic or educational content. It is not about taking orchestras into a completely virtual space through streaming, virtual reality, or augmented reality. It's about creating complementary distribution channels that respond to the needs and wants of audiences who, through proper communication and marketing, will both consume digital content and become regular concertgoers. Symphony orchestras, known for their long-standing structures, have been resistant to changes for years. However, in today's globalized world, it is crucial to respond flexibly to changes and innovate processes within orchestras.
