The conference paper discussed the topic of the author's dissertation on the topic "Models of functioning of music production agencies in the Czech Republic". The aim of the paper is to map music production agencies in the Czech Republic and, through qualitative interviews with agency representatives, to determine how they approach organizing activities in the Czech Republic. The result should therefore be the identification and description of the processes leading to the creation of a concert, both in classical and popular music. Secondary objectives are to determine whether the methods described in the theory of management, project management and strategic management are actively used in the agencies. At the time of the paper's creation (June 2024), the research was in the phase of collecting data from informants. The methods used are the study of secondary sources, data collection through qualitative interviews with informants and subsequent coding of the obtained data and their analysis. The findings to date point to problems in the area of financing and human resources, which applies to agencies regardless of the genre in which they operate.
