This text offers an overview of origins, use, pros and cons of practitioner research in Systemic family therapy. It captures epistemological background explains advantages and possible pitfalls and offers a possible way how to approach recognition of quality in practitioner research. It gives two examples of good practice of practitioner research within the context of Systemic family therapy.
