The paper deals with meat processing subsector structure development in the European Union in light of the company's size, which is defined according to the number of the persons employed. This article is focused on analyzes of the main efficiency indicators which are related to company's size as turnover and value added are. It characterizes the differences between size categories and theirs impact on analyzed values. The main topic is on the differentiation among Member countries and its development in chosen subsector during last 10 years within the changes in the food industry market structure in European countries.
