Validation of production planning optimization model in agriculture
Original language description
The design of valid applicable optimization models for production planning in agriculture is currently in focus of operations researchers worldwide. A number of models covering variety of constraints were designed aiming to be applied in the real world problems. Validating this models play a key role in the process of transferring the decision support systems from theory to practice. Nevertheless, the validation procedure of agriculture optimization models developed so far is often missing in the research articles. This stems mainly from the fact, that no unified validation process has been designed up to now for the particular use in agriculture optimization. Hence, the validation should be designed together with model developed according to the modelcharacteristics and data availability. This paper aims at developing the particular validation procedure for the case of production planning optimization in agriculture when the crop succession requirements are considered. The validation
