The article deals with problems concerning tourism management in the Czech Republic. It points out the difficulties arising from not existing stable organizational structures of tourism and its system management. This fact leads to establishing various legal forms of tourism organizations on local and regional levels. These do not often coordinate their activities and so non-conceptual development of destinations as well as inefficient spending financial means often occurs. It is inevitable to support the development of functional destination agencies that will manage the development of tourism in the destination on the basis of destination management principles and also support cooperation between private and public sectors. The case study analysing the organization of tourism in the selected tourist area is a part of the article. The results of this study confirm that in the area there are several independent subjects of various forms that deal with managing tourism in partial issues
