    Is the income situation of households in the individual regions of the Czech Republic developing evenly?: An analysis based on European income statistics.

  • Original language description

    The presented work analyses the income situation of households in the individual regions of the Czech Republic in the years 2005 to 2010, with an emphasis on unemployment. The data source is the results of the EU-SILC research conducted every year pursuant to the regulation of the European Parliament and the EU Council. The basic indicator is the average disposable income per equivalised household member. The Gini coefficient is used for measuring income inequality, and other important indicators are the level of poverty and its depth. Increased attention is paid to monitoring the impact of unemployment on the number of households threatened by poverty in the individual regions, measured by simple regression analysis. The income situation of householdsis the deciding factor affecting the satisfaction of needs and the lifestyle of the population.
