Original language description
The present study is focused on issue of working capital management and its impact on company's performance. More specifically, the objective of the study is to determine the relationship between the components of net working capital and economic value added in case of medium-sized companies located in the Czech Republic and manufacturing the motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailer (i.e. NACE 29). The sample consists of 62 companies. The data covers year 2013 and 2012. The regression analysis and correlation analysis have been performed to see the relationship between the dependent variable (year-to-year changes in EVA indicator) and independent variables (year-to-year changes in inventories, receivables, short-term assets and short-term debts). The results do not indicate a significant relationship between EVA indicator and components of net working capital.
