The Verification of Model - Unemployment of Age Category 55+ in the EU Labour Market
Original language description
The objective of the paper is to recognize the dependence of the unemployment of age category 55-64 upon selected explanatory variables. The explanatory variables have been selected and the expectations of their signs have been presented. The secondary data of Eurostat and OECD 2015 has been used, covering the twenty two member countries of European Union / the countries provided minimum wage were included only/. The last part of the econometric analysis, the model validity verification, including all three stages economic, statistical, and econometric verifications have been used in the paper. The model specification and quantification, however they were part of the research, have not been published in this paper due to the limited space. The relevance of the model as well as its limitations have been compared with the findings of other authors in the discussion.
