The comparison of algorithms for the automatic detection of outliers in environmental data
Original language description
Measurement of air pollutant concentrations is important for evaluation of air pollution. However large data sets of environmental variables often include outliers, the observations which can significantly affect further analysis and modeling. The control of the measured data is quite often provided manually by a specialist which is unsatisfactory from a statistical point of view. Here the comparison of three methods suggested for the automatic detection of outliers in PM10 concentrations is performed based on simulated data.
