This study material offers an in-depth exploration of the recommender systems. Presents standard methods like content-based filtering or collaborative filtering and includes application of fuzzy logic expert systems, fuzzy logic fundamentals and its application for building expert systems. The Matlab environment is used to create and apply a fuzzy expert system. The extensive possibilities of using fuzzy logic are demonstrated in a number of specific solved examples from the field of decision support. The study material is also supplemented with economic applications of decision support systems and a presentation of the basic principles of multi-criteria decision analysis.
