The effects of laying hens age and the housing of laying hens in conventional cages, enriched cages, the litter system and the outdoor system on egg weight and yolk and egg cholesterol concentation were studied. ISA brown laying hens were used in the experiment. The characteristics were measured at 39, 50, 59, 68 and 75 weeks of age. Fifteen eggs were always collected from each housing system. In total, 300 eggs were analyzed. There were not any significantly different results in the eggs from the hensliving in the different housing systems or from the age of laying hens on the weight of eggs. But the housing system and age of hens had a significant (P < 0.01) effect on both yolk and egg cholesterol concentration. The concentration of the yolk and eggcholesterol was the lowest (P < 0.01) in the enriched cages (12.5 mg/g yolk and 211.2 mg/egg) and the highest in the litter technology (14.1 mg/g yolk and 242.6 mg/egg). Vliv systému ustájení a věku nosnic na hmotnost vajec a obsah cholesterolu ve vejci

Sledovali jsme vliv systému ustájení a věku nosnic na hmotnost vajec a koncentraci cholesterolu ve vejcích v konvenčních klecích, v obohacených klecích, na podestýlce a v technologii s výběhem. Použity byly nosnice hybridní kombinace ISA brown. Sledovanévlastnosti byly zkoumány v 39., 50., 59., 68. a 75. týdnu věku nosnic. V daném týdnu bylo odebráno 15 vajec z každého ustájení. Celkově bylo analyzováno 300 vajec. Nezjistili jsme statisticky významný vliv systému ustájení na hmotnost vajec, ani vliv věku (ve sledovaném období) na jejich hmotnost. Bylo však zjištěno, že věk nosnic a systém jejich ustájení má významný (P < 0.01) vliv na koncentraci cholesterolu ve vejci a ve žloutku. Koncentrace cholesterolu ve žloutku a ve vejci byla nejnižší v obohacených klecích (12.5 mg/g žloutek a 211.2 mg/vejce) a nejvyšší na podestýlce (14.1 mg/g žloutek and 242.6 mg/vejce).
