    In view of the prospect of using plants for the in situ bioremediation of heavy metal contamination, the model tabacco plants (Nicotiana tabaccum) were constructed, in which n view of the prospect of using plants for the in situ bioremediation of heavy metal contamination, the model tabacco plants (Nicotiana tabaccum) were constructed, in which expression of CUP1 gene of S. cerevisiae is driven by constitutive CaMV promoter. The aim of the present study was to inspect CUP1 content in selected tobacco lineages by using method optimized for its selective determination. To this end, we employed modified polarographic Brdicka's reaction based on adsorptive transfer stripping technique coupled with differential pulse voltammetry.

    S výhledem na využití rostlin pro bioremediace míst kontaminovaných těžkými kovy byla zkonstruována modelová rostlinka tabáku, do které byl přenesen CUP1 gen od S. cerevisiae. Snahou této studie bylo prozkoumat obsah CUP1 u zvolených tabákových linií použitím metod optimalizovaných pro selektivní stanovení. Poté jsme využili modifikovanou polarografickou Brdičkovu reakci založenou na technice adsorbtivního přenostu spojené s diferenční pulzní voltametrií.
