Effect of different soil sampling density and application method on total P and K fertilizer rates
Original language description
An experiment aimed at verification of the variants of soil sampling density for P and K content determination was conducted in the plot of 53-ha with prevalent sandy soils under slightly arid conditions of South Moravia in 2005. Regarding a total levelof the applied fertilizer rate, the difference between densities of the sampling grid was not apparent. Despite that, directed sampling seems to be effective since it enables to reduce a number of sampling sites and simultaneously to keep a level of determined spatial variability. The effect of the application method in both examined nutrients differed. A total P fertilizer rate was higher in variable application than in the uniform fertilization method, while a total K rate was lower in variable application.
