The article deals with study and management of the designed landscapes. There are the history of designed landscapes in the Czech Republic, their typology as well as basic compositional principles are desribed here. Second part of the article targets thetheoretical and practical problems of designed landscapes planning and management . This special reflection is accompanied by the case study Mikulov.

V druhé části příspěvku je pozornost věnovaná problematice současného plánovaní a managementu komponované krajiny teoreticky i na příkladu tvorby krajinného plánu Mikulova.
