Engine Power Regulation of the Track Type Tractors

  • Original language description

Increasing engine power for track type tractors leads to increased stress on gear due to high torque. The increase in torque is felt especially in the high gear ratio between the engine and driving wheels tracks. Restrictions on high drawbar forces can carry out the regulation of engine torque depending on the slected gear. The article mentions specific results from measurements of engine parameters, obtained in drawbar tests of the tractor Caterpillar MT-875.
