Presented study is focused on the phenology of Eurasian nuthatches (Sitta europaea) populations on three research plots in the Czech Republic located in full-grown, multi-aged floodplain forests with no forestry management. Phenological data were observed and collected during 1951 -- 2008 and compared with mean monthly (March and April) temperature and other meteorological elements. Course of temperature has changed significantly during months March and April when the phenophases are in progress in 1951and 2008. As well the phenological stages of birds population has developed. The first laying date (FLD) has advanced between 10.0 and 10.2 days on all research plots. The mean laying date (MLD) in birds populations has shifted to the earlier time by almost 9.5 days during years 1951- 2008.
