Within the presented paper a seasonal soil moisture dynamics and spatial variability were investigated in poplar short rotation coppice culture (SRC). The goal of the overall study is finding correlations between soil moisture changes, biomass accretionrate and other meteorological, planting and ecological factors. Understanding these interrelationships could be useful to the further selection of other areas of SRC and also could improve the yield predictions.
