The aim of this work was to study dynamics of yield of biomass and organic nutrients content in dry matter of grazing stand in the vegetative season during two years and to document changes in the nutritive value of pasture, which was 15 years abandonned, and which has been grazed again. Assessment of biomass production and nutritive value of the permanent grassland was realized in 2007 and 2008 at about 3 ha pasture near Lažánky, 30 km north from Brno, Czech Republic. The pasture is situated at altitudes from 340 to 380 m above sea level in the Protected landscape area of Moravian Karst in an area with middle level of protection. It is an area with the dry karst type slopes. The pasture has been about 15 years abandonned and obvious succesional changes could be recognised. Fertilization is not permitted in this part of protected area. In 2007, grazing in the vegetative season started again. Phytosociological is pasture represented by Bromion alliance. Dominant grasses are Bromus erect
