Monitoring of some trace elements and organic matter quality in selected soil types
Original language description
Correlation between total and labile content of trace element and humic substances content in Cambisols and Stagnosols was studied. Although less fertile, these soil types are intensively used for mixed farming and grazing. The total and labile contentsof Zn, Cd, Cu, Co, Pb, Mo and Se were determined by flame or electro-thermal atomic absorption spectrometry after extraction from the soil samples in the aqua regia (total content) and in the solution of 0.01 M CaCl2 (labile content). Further we determined total organic carbon (TOC) content, hot water extractable carbon (Chw) and fractional composition of humic substances (e.g. content of humic and fulvic acids).
