Original language description
Mercury in water samples was determined by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry after the preconcentration of Hg(II) on a gold working electrode in a flow system coupled on-line to the AAS instrument. The porous electrode is made of glassy carbon particles coated with gold. Tap, river, and wastewater samples were analyzed using this method.
