From both practical and theoretical point of view, metal heat treatment is a quite sophisticated branch. There is required theoretical knowledge and practical experience from the following fields: mathematics, physics, chemistry, physical chemistry, thermodynamic, metallography, machinery. With classical book, it is very difficult to describe the principle as well as the theoretical background of those processes, which proceed in metal steels during heat treatment. This was the reason for the article author and his team (teachers and students) to work up an interactive multimedial e-book for machinery secondary schools. The mentioned educational product is well evaluated by technical and pedagogic communities and is used and applied in both educationaland self-learning process.
