The effect of increasing temperature on the climate niche of selected pyralidae and tortricidae
Original language description
The study investigates the occurrence of the Pyralidae member (European corn borer) and two members of Tortricidae (e.g. Codling moth and European grape vine moth) in changing climate in European domain. Development of these pests is known to be in relation with temperature and it could be expected the change of pests occurrence and number of their generations. The main aim of the study was detection of the areas which are the most endangered by newly established pests. For this objective there was usedthe pest model, CLIMEX, indicating the climatically favorable areas for the pest's development and long-term survival. The results of the study marked as the most sensitive the higher altitudes of central Europe recently unoccupied by the pests and northern Europe between latitudes 55-- 65 where is expected the northward shift of northern range of the pests occurrence.
