Molekulární analýzy stresové reakce linií pšenice adaptovaných na podmínky nedostatku vláhy
Original language description
The aim of this work was to identify differences in wheat seedlings responses to drought stress. The intensity of plant cell protective mechanisms can be evaluated on the physiological and molecular level. In our work, the stress response was evaluated by RWC (Relative Water Content), proline content and the relative expression of WDHN13 and WABI5 genes from the COR/LEA group. The evaluation included 2 varieties of winter wheat grown in the Czech Republic and 3 Syrian lines from ICARDA potentially highly tolerant to drought. The more tolerant varieties repeatedly showed an earlier onset and/or a higher level of the expression of genes from the COR/LEA group. The Czech varieties had high RE level of WABI5 gene and proline content, while Syrian lines hadlower RE level of WABI5 gene and proline content. The more tolerant Meritto variety exhibited an earlier activation of the WDHN13 gene and at the same time a high RE level of the same gene.
