Analyzing of corrosion during static strain with use of control charts

  • Original language description

This paper describes the application of control charts for corrosion process monitoring during static strain. Attention is paid to studying the corrosion properties of carbon steel. Many parts of important equipment are loaded by static bend in synergy of corrosion process which is necessary to be monitored in order to crash prediction. Corrosion is the major cause of structural degradation. Corrosion usually causes acoustic emission as a result of the fracture and disbanding of expansive corrosion products. The objective of this paper is to create the monitoring system for continual record and evaluation of corrosion process in real time. By means of control chart are the data analysed for lifetime prediction.
