Indicators of soil fertility used in the Czech method SAGROS (Sustainable AGROSystems) for arable farming sustainability assessment are introduced. These are a balance of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, organic matter and erosion, which are included ina set of 21 indicators used. The ways of determining individual indicators and interpretation of results by evaluation functions and graphical presentation are explained using the example analysis of large farm management in practice. SAGROS is designedas a tool for the management of farms and oriented to: - rationalization and efficiency of cropping practices, - environment- and resources- friendly production, - elimination of management shortcomings regarding to sustainable development. SAGROS also increases the transparency of operations and communications within the enterprise.
