    Development of small rice milling machine

  • Original language description

    The aim of this project was to develop rice milling machine to support the farmers who live in community to be able to process paddy into white rice or brown rice for consumption and sell in community by themselves and also famers can reduce dependence on the rice milling plant for milling their paddy. The dimensions of developed small rice milling machine have a width of 1,530 mm, a length of 910 mm and a height of 1,890 mm. The important components of machine are consisted of paddy hopper, pre-cleanerdevice, bucket elevator conveyor, rubber roller huller, husk aspirator, rice whitening device, rice sifter and electric motor. The developed machine's capability of rice milling was equal to 100 kg per hours and also it can be used for milling paddy into browns rice and white rice. From calculating the payback period of this machine found that the payback period of this machine without risk of rice selling to markets was 20 days for milling the white rice and 7 days for milling the brow
