Using zinc microlamellas for anticorrosion coatings
Original language description
The latest trend in corrosion protection consists in creating such coatings which meet strict ecological requirements, such as lowering or even eliminating metals which have carcinogenic or mutagenous effects. Hexabasic chrome can serve as a classical example. The aim of this paper is to analyse corrosion and mechanical properties of non-electrolyte applied coatings with zinc micro-lamellas. There were tested two coating systems: the first one belongs to the category of waterborne and the other to the category of thinning-agent coatings. Coating viscosity is being lowered by an organic thinner agent. First of all, metallographic evaluation of coated substrates was processed. Secondly, coating thickness and size of zinc micro-lamellas were measured. Furthermore, there were processed corrosion tests in both salt-spray (ČSN ISO 9227) and sulphur dioxide environment (ČSN ISO 6988). Also cutting test evaluating undercorrosion of damaged coating was processed (ČSN EN ISO 17872) and evaluated
