The Possibilites of Soil Variability Evaluation within Plots Using Satellite Images
Original language description
The aim of this contribution is to present the possibilities of remote sensing (RS) in the study of variability of bare soil for site-specific management. As input are used multispectral data (visible and near-infrared) captured by Landsat 8 in April andSeptember 2013. Field boundaries from government database iLPIS were used to identify the blocks of bare soil. Data are capturing the South Moravian Region with a total area of 1100 km2. In this study, the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) was used for the differentiation of bare soil in the blocks. NDVI is being widely used for monitoring the biophysical condition and vegetation cover. It is also frequently used for the description of the surface of spatial heterogeneity. In the analysis were included areas of bare soil with pixel count higher or equal to 50 % of the original number of pixels of bare soils in areas selected through the data from the iLpis system. The data were transformed after radiometric and atmospheric
