Sarcosine up-regulates expression of genes involved in cell cycle progression of metastatic models of prostate cancer
Original language description
In Europe, prostate cancer (PCa) is the most common solid neoplasm[1]. More than one thousand men in Czech Republic die due to this dinase every year[2]. Sarcosine, an intermediate and byproduct in glycine metabolism, represents a potential urinary biomarker exploitable for early PCa diagnosis. It also acts as potential oncometabolite. Thus, we investigated the effect of sarcosine treatment on behavior of PCa tumors in vivo.
