Original language description
The landscape of the Czech Republic has changed significantly over the last two centuries. The most significant change is in the land use. In the past small fields divided by the balks and field roads have replaced extensive soil blocks of arable land. The creation of large soil blocks in the second half of the 20th century caused extensive soil erosion problems. The landscape has become impenetrable due to the lack of a network of field roads. In the region of South Moravia, the model area around Hustopeče u Brna, an analysis of the density of the road network was developed for the period from the first half of the 19th century to the present. The analysis presents a significant decrease in the number of field roads. In the present country fulfills production functions, not aesthetic or recreational.
