Original language description

The objective of the present paper was to study the effects of industrial fertilisers containing sulphur (ammonium sulphate and SK sol) on onion, varieties Stutgardská and Šerpa. Field trials proved that sulphur fertilisation increased onion yields, changed the N:S ratio in onion and positively influenced the utilisation of sulphur for essential oil production. Foliar application of sulphur increased its concentration in onion dry matter. The level of main nutrients in plants did not change considerablyafter sulphur fertilisation.
