Content of several aminoacids in the tapeworms Hymenoleptis diminuta, Rodentolepis fraterna (HYMENOLEPIDIDAE) and Cladotaenia globifera (PARUTERINIDAE) (CESTODA)

  • Original language description

In the samples of 3 species of Cestoda - Hymenoleptis diminuta, Rodentolepis fraterna Hymenolepididae (parasites of Rodentia) and Cladotaenia globifera Paruterinidae (parasites of Buteo buteo), 17 amino acids (AA) were found. In the tapeworms from the family Hymenolepididae, (compared with Paruterinidae), very close AA content were found in glutamic acid, aspartic acid, proline, glycine, alanine, serine, leucine, arginine, valine, threonine, isoleucine, methionine and cystine, not in tyrosine, histidine, phenylalanine and lysine. Different statistically significant (P?0.05) values between the species R. fraterna and H. diminutaon on one hand and C. globifera on the other hand were registered in tyrosine, phenylalanine and histidine (they are lowerin C. globifera) and in lysine (higher in C. globifera). Tyrosine represents the highly statistically significant (P?0.05) AA values, which differentiates all above tapeworm species.
