The aim of the paper is to evaluate the investment incentives system in Hungary and to evaluate the influx of foreign direct investments from the point of view of branches and territorial division.The analysis is fulfil by applying following index: cumulative foreign direct investments flow (FDI), FDI per head, FDI/GDP and GDP per head, that are evaluated in comparison with Euro zone member countries. Hungary is a country located in the centre of Europe. In 1968 Hungary was the first country in Centraland Eastern Europe to start political and economic reforms by introducing the "New Economic Mechanism". In 1996 the Hungary became a member of the OECD. Hungary joined the European Union in May 2004. Foreign ownership of and investment in Hungarian firmsare widespread, with cumulative foreign direct investment totalling more than EUR 70 billion ($90 billion) since 1989.
