Development of Czech agriculture in the European context

Original language description

The paper deals with production and economic context and consequences of changes in the business environment of the European Union agriculture induced by both the expansion of the internal market and the acceleration of globalization processes. The mainfeatures of the competitiveness on the European and world market since the early nineties of the twentieth century are evaluated there. Based on the results of analysis of the structural development and the performance of agricultural production in the Czech Republic and international comparisons of main plant and animal commodities production specify the impact of agricultural policy and its concrete realization in terms of differentiated conditions and approaches in the original and the new member countries in terms of their position within the common agrarian market.
