The evaluation of disparities in chosen micro-regions in the Czech Republic
Original language description
This paper is focused on the evaluation of disparities of two chosen micro-regions in the Czech Republic -- Běleč and Lučina, which both are located in the Pilsen Region. But the results of research will be applicable to any other similar region of the Czech Republic. The evaluation of disparities is based on the methodological process using an index of development potential. In the time period from 2001 to 2008, were quantified 35 indicators for each municipality of both micro-regions in field of natural resources, economic performance or social-cultural background. For all these indicators (or variables) has been tasted mutual interdependence. And those with high correlations were excluded from further processing. Finally 10 indicators remained thatbased on the results of factor analysis, multivariate statistical method, were not rejected as informational duplicate.
