The paper deals with the role and status of commodity stock exchange in Central Europe. For this purpose were characterized commodity exchanges in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany. First part of this paper describes commodity stock universally. There were identified some characteristics of stock exchange which were applied on commodity stock exchange. Second part of this paper is paid to the commodity exchange trading in Czech Republic, Germany and Hungary. After detailed analysis were evaluatedthe differences between trading on commodity exchanges of these countries. Main differences are at the system of trading on these commodity exchanges. Hungary Commodity Exchange trade by electronic platform (took over trading platform from the Chicago board of trade - CBOT). Czech Republic and Germany through a system of parquet (it means behind close door). The other differences between these commodities exchanges are in the type of contracts.
