The importance of the cohesion of the therapeutic group has been previously identified as a necessary condition for ensuring the efficacy of rehabilitation in the therapeutic community. This paper deals with the drug addiction treatment of inpatients (n=402) in a cross-cultural dynamics. Primary data were collected in Peru, Nicaragua and Czech Republic for the period between September 2013 and August 2014. Using a ""Dimensions of Change Instrument"" scale, the results show a significant difference in opinions of inpatients on the effectiveness of the treatment during different stages of the research. The results further indicate statistical significance among the three factors identified on the scale, such as community responsibility; residence sharing, support and enthusiasm; introspection and self-management.
