A framework for linkages between international migration and trade
Original language description
Human mobility and trade have always accompanied the development of Man as a social being. In today's era of economic interconnectedness, global migration and trade are phenomena stemming from globalisation and constitute the pillars for the development of several countries. However, it is now noticeable that countries have a greater preference to make international trade more flexible by signing bilateral agreements, and to do everything possible to restrict human mobility among the various countries of the world. This paper tried to explore through literature review the elements that would favour the link between international migration and trade. The research concluded from the elaboration of a framework that there are factors that immigrants have and that should be enhanced by the various governments for a simultaneous development of home and host countries. For countries involve experiencing the tremendous benefits of global trade and migration, barriers to transactions and movements should be drastically reduced.
