Ecosystem services in the bioeconomy
Original language description
Ecosystem services can be an important tool for developing the effectiveness of bioeconomic approaches and the decision-making process. The chapter aims to explain the concept of ecosystem services and explore the relationship between ecosystem services and the bioeconomy. The economic context of ecosystem services introduces tools for an economic approach to their valuation. An analysis of ecosystem services shows how these are implemented in the decision-making process as a system of indicators of the impact of political and economic decisions, also related to implementation of the circular bioeconomy model.
